Welcome to Stepping Stones Too! Our Bluewater Bay facility. We are conveniently located in the heart of Bluewater Bay! Stepping Stones Too! has 14 spacious classrooms ranging in ages from Infants to VPK. Each learning space is intentionally designed in accordance with our internal, state, and accreditation standards. We are also proud to have both covered and open air outdoor classroom space which is utilized daily for outdoor play, and outdoor classroom activities. Stepping Stones Too! — A Story of Redemption, Roots, and Renewal
Nestled in the heart of Bluewater Bay, Stepping Stones Too! is more than a preschool—it’s a story of faith, healing, and community legacy. Housed in the former building of the beloved Discovery Learning Center, this location carries deep emotional significance. After the tragic passing of its founder, Terresa Teutenberg, the center closed, leaving a void in the lives of many local families. The building sat quiet—until God opened a new door.
Two years after launching the original Stepping Stones Early Learning Academy in Niceville, founders Miss Tammie and Miss Marilyn felt a divine calling to expand. Their hearts were drawn to the very place that once helped fill their first classrooms. It was a full-circle moment—one marked not by coincidence, but by God’s unwavering faithfulness.
From the beginning, the community rallied around the new center. Families were thrilled to see a faith-based preschool program return to the space, and the transformation was immediate. Renovations to the facility were met with overwhelming praise, and a spirit of renewal was felt in every classroom.
Today, Stepping Stones Too! is a thriving hub of early childhood education, offering programs from infants to VPK. Several former staff members have returned, drawn by the center’s mission and the sense of belonging it fosters. Many families have been with us since day one—some of our very first infants are now preparing to graduate through our cherished Butterfly VPK Program, a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come.
We LOVE our Bluewater Bay campus and the families who make it so special. Through every challenge and triumph, God’s hand has guided this journey. Stepping Stones Too! is not just a school—it’s a place of hope, healing, and home.

Miss Lauren serves as the Center Director at our beloved Bluewater Bay campus, Stepping Stones Too! With a strong foundation in early childhood education, Miss Lauren began her journey as a classroom teacher and has risen through the ranks thanks to her dedication, leadership, and deep love for children and families.
Her experience spans multiple age groups, and she brings a hands-on understanding of what it takes to create a nurturing, structured, and spiritually grounded learning environment. Parents can rest assured knowing that under Miss Lauren’s guidance, the center operates with excellence, compassion, and a clear commitment to our faith-based preschool mission.
Miss Lauren leads with both heart and professionalism—supporting staff development, maintaining compliance with Florida Department of Children and Families licensing standards, and ensuring that every classroom reflects the values of safety, growth, and joy. Her leadership is a key reason why Stepping Stones Too! continues to thrive as a trusted provider of quality Christian early learning in the Bluewater Bay community.
