Miss Marilyn has spent her life caring for children—not just in classrooms, but in homes and hearts across the country. Originally from Meridian, Mississippi, she moved to the Destin area over 30 years ago, where she quickly became a beloved figure in the local community. Though she doesn’t have children of her own, Miss Marilyn has lovingly nannied and parented for multiple families, offering wisdom, stability, and unconditional love.

Her journey into faith-based early childhood education began with a shared vision alongside Miss Tammie: to create a safe, joyful, and enriching preschool environment where children could grow in both academics and character. As co-founder of Stepping Stones, Miss Marilyn brings a gentle leadership style, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of what it means to nurture the whole child.

Known for her calm presence and heartfelt connections, Miss Marilyn is a guiding light for staff, families, and children alike. Her influence is felt in the daily rhythms of the school—from the curriculum to the classroom culture—and her dedication continues to shape the heart of Stepping Stones.
